Rise believes that Art Education can create harmony in a time of civil unrest and connectedness in the isolation of a pandemic. The mural project “Love Comes in Many Colors” spreads the vibrant message of acceptance and unity that lives in our community.

In this time of uncertainty, the Rise campers and their families placed trust in Rise to keep them safe. Rise and the Art Education team reflected, problem-solved, and resolved to carry-on — thinking big and bold, but acting with prudence and care. Together, in the face of adversity, all found the courage to be brave and overcome.

Arthur’s Story

Arthur Fieldsend – Aged 9

This short video tells the story of how final year Design students from Edinburgh College pivoted their graduate show into working with charities and businesses to support them at this difficult time.

We are all in this together

Fremantle Kindergarten, Western Australia

Sometimes, small talks can end up changing one’s perspective in viewing a situation or event. By acknowledging and recognising the children’s’ big feelings, we are holding their space to feel secure and protected. These children have reminded us, adults, how valuable and valid their feelings are, and what it means to have an open conversation. We are on this journey together.
