Maker Monday and the Brave Times
This session is for any educator looking to explore climate change through a design thinking process. Maker Monday and the Brave Times have joined forces to share approaches, ideas, and stimulus to help you engage your learners.
Maker Mondays has been created to inspire and develop empathy, curiosity, creativity, collaboration and critical thinking by solving a problem or question.
Dealing with something as complex as climate change can feel overwhelming. It makes you want to retreat into your cave and close the curtains. The Brave Times is an online newspaper that invites you to pull back those curtains and be creatively brave. The paper is more than just learning, itβs about taking action, brave action, not just protest, but imagining and creating new ideas, moving forward in new (uncertain) directions (not against), changing mind sets, changing the way we live, how we behave. If we are able to do this, we can move beyond our caves to create future human habitats.
